Another tide over
It's spring time. We're all trying to either clean or overhaul something on our homes. Here's an interview I had for today's paper with an interior designer on the subject: Robert Weinstein.

Sometimes tips on decorating seem instinctual--like clearing clutter--but other times, the best tips are on what not to do. Like he said--the whole Mediterranean thing is so over. Anybody want granite countertops and brushed steel sconces?
Decorating is going back to the neo-70's--no more orange crushed velour curve couches that are about as comfortable as sitting on a wobbly barstool. Gimme some Jack Horner/Jackie Treehorn style with modern materials.
